Optimised imports of mesh models from Blender to Unity

and how & why it will save you time and effort in your Unity development.
This particular issue plagued me for a while, putting me off Blender & mesh imports in general,
and I just worked around it until Blender implemented the Experimental Apply Transform feature,
and enough users figured out how to use it properly and post about it on various forums.
Judging by the number of users complaining about the Blender To Unity import pipeline, it is still a common issue.
